Specimen HandlingCollection Instructions: Collect Random Urine in a sterile orange cap container. Random urine sample. The first morning urine usually contains the highest concentration of hCG. Indicate date and time of Collection. Laboratory Staff Instructions If visible precipitate is present in the urine sample, centrifuge before testing. Stability: Stable at 2-8°C for 2 days and longer periods if frozen at -20°C or lower. Transportation: Send sample to core lab ASAP. Sample Rejection Criteria: Urine collected with acidified container or leaking specimen will be rejected. |
