Specimen Handling

Collection Instructions: Collect samples in heparinized tubes. Write your initials, date and time of collection on the collection label or requisition.

Laboratory Staff Instructions: Seperate from cells as son as possible. Store and send frozen.

Rejection Criteria: Gross hemolysis, unlabeled or or samples of non sufficient quantity.

Stability: Stable at 2 – 8°C for 1 week.

Transportation: Send sample on ice to core lab as soon as possible.
