Specimen HandlingCollection Instructions: Collect sample in a lavender top and send to core lab. Sample should be well mixed at time of collection to prevent platelet clumping. Write your initials, date and time of collection on the collection label. Stability: Stable 18 Hours at room temperature and 7 days refrigerated at 2-8°C. Transportation: Transport at room temperature within 1 hour of collection. Sample Rejection Criteria: Plasma, clotted sample, Grossly hemolyzed samples, Unlabeled or Not Sufficient Quantity Samples will be rejected. |
