Specimen HandlingCollection Instructions: Ensure both sample and requisition are lebeled properly. Collect after overnight fast to avoid interference from lipemia. Write your initials, date and time of collection on the collection label. Note: This test is also availavle in fluid. Collect in plain red top or sterile container for fluid samples. Laboratory Staff Instructions: Serum collected with or without gel separator. Separate from cells within 2 hours of collection Rejection Criteria: Gross hemolysis, Unlabeled or Not Sufficient Quantity Samples will be rejected. Stability: ACE is stable at room temperature for 8 hours, refrigerated for 15 Days and frozen at -20C or colder for 90days. Thaw samples only once. Transportation: Send sample to core lab as soon as possible. |
