Patient Volunteer

Sample Roles

  • visit with and provide support to patients (conversation, water flowers, provide juice, etc.)
  • run errands for staff (i.e. Stores) and patients (i.e. Gift Shop)
  • deliver menus and assist patients to complete menus
  • assemble patient charts
  • clerical support to the unit (filing, photocopying)
  • provide supervised mealtime assistance (handing out trays)
  • escort patients off the unit to other Hospital areas (chapel, library)
