One of the priorities of the Keenan Research Centre of the Li Ka Shing Knowledge Institute is global health. The Centre for Global Health Research (CGHR) was established in 2003. The CGHR uses biomedical, epidemiological, economic and research ethics sciences to develop evidence-based policies that can be adopted by organizations and governments. Research focuses on the epidemiology and prevention of premature mortality in developing countries, specifically on HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis and chronic diseases, as well as research ethics to advance equitable sharing of scientific benefits. Currently, CGHR is leading a largest epidemiological a study of six million people in 1.1 million homes in India. Scientist Profiles.
