Trauma Team Evaluation & Management (TEAM) course

The Trauma Team Evaluation and Management (TEAM) course was developed by the American College of Surgeons, Committee on Trauma to introduce trauma assessment and management to medical students during their clinical years.

Second year medical students at the University of Toronto participate in a day long TEAM workshop consisting of classroom teaching and practice in the simulation centre.

Advanced Trauma Operative Management (ATOM)

The Advanced Trauma Operative Management (ATOM) course is an effective method of increasing surgical competence and confidence in the operative management of penetrating injuries to the chest and abdomen.  Senior level surgical residents participate in this one day course, which consists of lectures and one-on-one mentored lab sessions.

Please contact Niko.DaSilva@unityhealth.to for upcoming course dates for TEAM & ATOM.
