Dr. Anne Wormsbecker MD MPH FRCPC is a Toronto pediatrician with strong interests in immunization and public health. She is a graduate of the University of Calgary Faculty of Medicine (2004) and completed pediatric residency at Western University in 2008. Anne was an academic general pediatric fellow at the Hospital for Sick Children from 2009 to 2011 has a master's in Public Health from the University of Toronto (2011).
Her clinical practice, at both St. Michael’s Hospital and St. Joseph's Health Centre, includes both outpatient and inpatient care and spans the entire spectrum of childhood, from birth to adolescence. At St. Michael's she supervises medical trainees and provides care to newborns and their families on-call to Labour and Delivery and the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. She also works in the outpatient pediatrics program.
She has been a medical epidemiologist at Public Health Ontario and a senior medical consultant in the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care’s Office of the Chief Medical Officer of Health. In both roles, she developed expertise in immunization research and policy and this, along with urban pediatric medicine, remains her research interest.
