Osteoporosis Program

As part of the Diabetes Comprehensive Care Program, the aim of the Osteoporosis Outreach Program (OPOutreach) is to educate healthcare professionals about developments in osteoporosis and metabolic bone disease.

This innovative program is accredited by the College of Family Physicians of Canada (for GP events) and the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons (for Specialist events), and is sponsored by the St. Michael's Hospital Foundation, whose generous funding has been matched by arms-length unrestricted grants from the Alliance for Better Bone Health (Procter & Gamble/Sanofi-Aventis), Amgen Canada Inc., Merck Frosst Canada Inc., Novartis Pharmaceuticals Canada Inc. and Servier Canada Inc.

Past Events

A one-day program on Friday, March 27, 2009,  included an outstanding faculty of speakers whose lectures covered topics of particular interest and included practical information for specialists on different aspects of metabolic bone disease.
