Occupational & Environmental Health
Within St. Michael's Hospital, clinical services are provided through the Specialized Complex Care Program.
The Occupational Health Clinic is unique in Ontario, providing tertiary/quaternary occupational medicine services. One of the clinic's programs is the Occupational Disease Specialty Program, a comprehensive and multidisciplinary diagnostic, assessment, and treatment planning service, funded by the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board.
In addition, the clinic provides consultation by referral, third party assessments and surveillance programs. Current areas of focus are occupational skin disease, occupational lung disease, hand arm vibration syndrome and general occupational disease.
