Steps to Less™ now offers 4 sets of Yoga Programs per year, held on-site to all hospital staff, volunteers and the public; thanks to the services of our fabulous certified yoga instructor, Angela Jervis Read from Sodhana Yoga.
The YOGA program is taught in a classic Hatha style of yoga. Each class will begin with breathing exercises to help calm the mind and relax the body. This will be followed by a series of postures targeting the shoulders, neck, hips and spine to help relieve work day tension and stress. Meditation and insights about the philosophy of yoga and the energetic body will be interjected into each class. The program accommodates individuals with all levels of yoga experience, even beginners!
When:
A new 12 week yoga program begins every 3 months (January, April, July, & October). The next program start date is July 12th, 2010 and will run on the following days:
- Mondays: 12:00pm – 1:00pm (July 12th – September 27th, 2010) schedule
- Thursdays: 4:30pm – 5:30pm (July 15th – September 30th, 2010) schedule
- Thursdays: 5:30pm – 6:30pm (July 15th – September 30th, 2010) schedule
Please note that there are no Yoga classes on Monday, August 2nd and Monday, September 6th due to statutory holidays. Theses classes will take place on Friday, August 6th and Friday, September 10th, respectively. Please see the class schedules for details.

Cost:
1 session per week: $ 150.00 per person (plus HST after July 1st)
10 class punch card: $ 125.00 per person (plus HST after July 1st)
How to Register
Register Now Online or, you can download a Registration Form and scan or fax it to Katerina Vonj (email and fax are listed below). You can also register in person in Room 6056, Cardinal Carter (beside the Nutrition Library).
Please register soon as there are limited spaces available for each class.
