The Steps to Less™ Yoga program is available to hospital staff, volunteers and the public; thanks to the services of our fabulous certified yoga instructor, Angela Jervis Read from Sodhana Yoga.

The Yoga classes are taught in a classic Hatha style of yoga. Each class will begin with breathing exercises to help calm the mind and relax the body. This will be followed by a series of postures targeting the shoulders, neck, hips and spine to help relieve work day tension and stress. Meditation and insights about the philosophy of yoga and the energetic body will be interjected into each class. The program accommodates individuals with all levels of yoga experience, even beginners!

When: The next 12 week Yoga program will run from May 23rd– June 30th, 2011 on:

  • Mondays: 12 - 1 p.m.
  • Thursdays: 4:30 - 5:30 p.m.

Where: Onsite at St. Michael’s.

Cost: Receive 10 per cent off the following prices if you register before May 18th, 2011

  • 1 class per week (6 classes): $85
  • 10 class punch card (10 classes): $135

Note: Program Fees are Payroll Deductible for SMH staff
