Patient Food Services: Information for Ordering and Picking up Food Products
We have recently changed the way specialty food items and oral supplements are bought at the Hospital.
We have attached a complete list of available products. Please follow the steps below for ordering and picking up products at the hospital.

How to Order Products
- Call the diet office at 416-864-6060 Ext. 2794.
- Place your order with a diet office staff member or leave a message on the answering machine. Include the following information:
- the type of product you want to purchase (see attached for a complete listing)
- the quantity of product
- the date and time you are placing your order
- your name and contact information
Orders must be placed a minimum of 24 hours prior to picking up products. If you place an order on the Friday or on the weekend, the order will be available for pickup on the Monday following the weekend.
- If you are purchasing an oral supplement (e.g. Ensure Plus, Nepro), contact your registered dietitian to make sure that they have your name on file. You are required to have your name on file with your dietitian if you want to purchase oral supplements through St. Michael's Hospital.
How to Pick Up Products
You may pick up your product(s) anytime from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. or 2:30 p.m. to 5:45 p.m., Monday through Friday.
When you arrive at the Hospital:
- Enter at the Victoria Street entrance.
- Take the Cardinal Carter north elevators to the sixth floor.
- Follow the signs to the Marketeria.
- Speak to a cashier in the Marketeria. They will have a copy of your product request on file.
- Pay for your product with cash, Interac or Visa.
Your product will be delivered at the Marketeria. You will only be given your product(s) if you have paid the full amount for your order. No exceptions will be made.
