Programs & Services

Medical Psychiatry

Beyond the emergency department, we provide psychiatric consults to all the medical, surgical and subspecialty floors. We also provide follow up of patients upon discharge, if needed.

The team consists of:

• Two full time medical psychiatrists.
• One full time geriatric psychiatrist.
• One full time nurse practitioner.
• One to two psychiatry residents.
• One to three medical students.
• Two full time secretaries.

Services provided include:

• Timely consults.
• Weekly teaching for residents and medical students.
• Daily bedside teaching for residents and medical students.
• Education for nursing staff.
• Continuous quality assurance measures.

Referrals

You can access the service by directly paging the psychiatrists, nurse practitioner and secretaries.
