Mental Health Programs

The mental health service contributes to the academic goals of the department of psychiatry at the University of Toronto. We provide clinical placement for students from various health care professions such as medicine, nursing, pharmacy, rehabilitative sciences and social work.
In partnership with our community, the mental health service provides assessment, treatment, rehabilitation, linkages to community agencies and support to individuals who have severe and persistent mental illness. These individuals may be marginally housed, homeless and in addition, suffer from addictions and HIV related disorders.
The services are provided by an interdisciplinary health care team of addictions counsellors, occupational therapists, pharmacists, psychiatrists, registered nurses, peer support workers, vocational rehabillitation therapists, rehabillitation therapists and social workers.
