Specimen Handling

Collection Instructions: Collect sample in red top tube. Avoid gold top (SST). Optimal collection time is 0-30 minutes prior to dose (Trough). Record time of collection and time of last dose. Write your initials, date and time of collection on the collection label or requisition.

Laboratory Staff Instructions: Separate samples from cells as soon as possible. Send sample on a cold pack.

Rejection Criteria: Gel separator,unlabeled or samples of non sufficient.

Stability: Stable for 3 days refrigerated and 6 months frozen.

Transportation: Send sample to Core Lab as soon as possible.
