Navy Tube Specimen Type / Requirements

Container Type = 1 Royal Blue Top (K2-EDTA)

Minimum Volume = 4 ml Whole Blood

Tube must fill to at least ½ or greater of its vacuum capacity

Specimen Handling

Collection Instructions: Collect sample in royal blue (K2-EDTA) contaminant-free tube. Write your initials, date and time of collection on the collection label.

Special Instructions Send whole blood. Do not spin and Separate.

Rejection Criteria Serum, Plasma and Unlabeled Samples will be rejected.

Transportation: Send sample to core lab as soon as possible.
