Container Type = Small sterile container

Minimum Volume = 5g Feces

Specimen Handling

Collection Instructions: Collect Faeces sample in a sterile container. Write your initials, date and time of collection on the collection label.

Laboratory Staff Instructions: Send specimen in a screw-capped plastic container. Do not add preservative. Store and send cold.

Rejection Criteria: Unlabeled or Not Sufficient Quantity samples will be rejected.

Stability: Stable for 5 days Refrigerated and 1 month frozen.

Transportation: Send sample to core lab as soon as possible.

< 100: Strongly suggestive of Pancreatic Insufficiency

100 - 200: Suggestive of moderatePancreatic Dysfunction,
close to the threshold for developing Pancreatic Insufficiency.
