Container Type = Sterile Container

Minimum Volume = 5mL Fluid

Serum from SST tube is also acceptable

Specimen Handling

Collection Instructions: Collect sample in a sterile container. If sending blood sample, collect in SST tube. Write your initials, date and time of collection on the collection label or requisition.

Laboratory Staff Instructions: Aliquot in glass tube and place sample in special chemistry fridge.

Rejection Criteria: Unlabeled, Leaky or Not Sufficient Quantity Samples will be rejected.

Stability: Stable for 7 days refrigrated and more than 7 days frozen.

Transportation: Send sample to core lab at room temperature as soon as possible.
