Specimen Handling

Collection Instructions: Collect Random Urine in a small orange cap container. Indicate date and time of Collection.

Stability: Urine is stable 1-2 days at 2-8°C and for longer periods at -20°C.

Transportation: Send sample to core lab ASAP.

Special Instructions Random urine collected in sterile container mid morning after voiding and discarding first morning urine sample.

Sample Rejection Criteria: Urine collected with acidified container or leaking specimen will be rejected.
