Services: Pathology

The division of pathology is an integral part of patient care. Human tissue from the OR and clinics is processed and examined for abnormalities. The resultant diagnosis usually plays a vital role in the care of the patient and often is the single most important factor upon which decisions regarding therapies are made. Over the past several years there have been considerable enhancements in anatomical pathology in the areas of patient care, research and teaching. The Hospital is currently a reference laboratory for renal and eye pathology.
