Risk Factors
Taking charge of your health is one way to lower your risk of heart disease. A healthy lifestyle can prevent developing heart disease and in those individuals diagnosed with heart disease slow or prevent the progression.
Cardiac risk factors are what health care professionals call factors
that contribute to heart disease. There are two categories. Factors
you cannot do anything about are non-modifiable factors, and factors
you can do something about are called modifiable factors.
