Department of Family and Community Medicine and St. Michael’s Academic Family Health Team

Services: Pre-natal care

 Service available at:

St. Michael’s Family Health Team can care for you throughout your pregnancy. Your provider will look after you together with the team of people specially trained to care for pregnant women. Our group of family doctor obstetricians will also be there at your baby’s delivery. We work together to ease your path while pregnant and, after delivering, while you get used to a newborn at home.

Let us know as soon as you find out you’re pregnant. Your first visit should be within the first 10 weeks of pregnancy. Prenatal visits are every four weeks during the early part of pregnancy, and they happen more often as you get closer to your due date. We’d also love to see your partner during your regular pregnancy checkups.
