Department of Family and Community Medicine and St. Michael’s Academic Family Health Team

Advocacy and policy work

The DFCM SDOH Advocacy Sub-Committee is working on an advocacy toolkit and departmental framework to support advocacy by members of the department.

Many DFCM members are already working to shape policy on social determinants of health through community-based advocacy and participation in government consultations at the municipal, provincial, and federal levels.
