The weekday hours of operation for the St. Michael's Family Health Team (FHT) will be 9 a.m.- 4:30 p.m.

The FHT evening walk-in urgent care clinics will be closed until further notice. Outside of clinic hours, patients can call 416-864-5431 to speak with the family medicine resident doctor on call.  

Patients who have scheduled evening clinics with their regular doctor should be aware that these appointments will now be converted to phone visits and should expect to receive a phone call from their physician sometime during the evening in which the appointment is scheduled. Routine or non-essential appointments may be rescheduled to a later date. 

Weekend Urgent Care Clinics

The FHT Saturday urgent care clinic will remain open to in-person visits from 9 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. for pre-booked appointments only. If you feel you need to be seen on the Saturday please call to speak with a team member before coming to the clinic. The number for our Saturday urgent clinic at our St. James Town location is 416 864 3022.

The Sunday urgent care clinic will be telephone/video appointments only. The number to access the Sunday virtual urgent clinic from 9 am-3:30 pm is 416 864-3022.

In an effort to reduce risk to you, our staff and the public, we have:

  • Reduced in-person office visits to a minimum.
  • Converted most appointments to telephone or computer visits (“virtual care”).
  • Postponed non-essential visits for 3 months.

Appointment information - including telephone and video options

In order to prevent the spread of COVID-19, starting immediately, we will be rescheduling all non-urgent in-person patient appointments until further notice. To continue to provide the best possible care to our patients, we will be offering virtual care visits such as telephone appointments and video visits (eVisits) to patients to address their health concerns.

Family Health Team (FHT) visitor guideline

Due to increasing COVID-19 community transmission and recommendations from the Ministry of Health we are limiting visitors at the FHT.  If you are a patient and are coming in to the clinic, we are only allowing people described below to come with the patient:

  • A caregiver
  • A support worker
  • One parent/guardian for patients under the age of 16
  •  A support person helping with language barrier

All other people will not be allowed to come with the patient to their clinic visit.

Thank you for your understanding in this matter.  This decision was made to slow the spread of the virus and follow social distancing practices.

Patients of St. Michael’s Family Health Team can attend any of the after-hours clinics or use the doctor on-call phone service.
