Developing Retaining Talent
Nurses Over 55
This initiative is designed to help nurses aged 55 or older remain
in the workforce by offering opportunities to spend a portion of their
work week in an alternate and/or expanded role that is less physically
demanding. The nurses can participate in the following activities:
- An alternate role to use their nursing knowledge, skills and experience.
- Quality improvement activities designed to use their nursing, knowledge, skills and experience.
- Professional development activities to enhance clinical competence within a clinical area.
