Nurses Over 55

picture of nurse with doctorsThis initiative is designed to help nurses aged 55 or older remain in the workforce by offering opportunities to spend a portion of their work week in an alternate and/or expanded role that is less physically demanding. The nurses can participate in the following activities:

  • An alternate role to use their nursing knowledge, skills and experience.
  • Quality improvement activities designed to use their nursing, knowledge, skills and experience.
  • Professional development activities to enhance clinical competence within a clinical area.
