Subject: Happy Thanksgiving and clinic updates

Thanksgiving harvest

Hi all,

We hope this email finds you all well! As Thanksgiving weekend is coming, we would like to remind all our homecare patients to make sure you have enough inventory to last the long weekend. Emergency care is available over the weekend by calling the hematologist on call through Locating.

Update on Hemlibra (emicizumab)

You may have heard that Health Canada very recently approved Hemlibra (emicizumab) for prophylactic use in Hemophilia A patients with factor VIII inhibitors. The next step will be for provincial Ministries of Health to approve including it in the inventory of hemophilia products distributed through Canadian Blood Services. We will keep you up to date as Hemlibra and other new products for managing hemophilia become available in Canada.

We would like to wish you all a very Happy Thanksgiving!
