In 2010, St. Michael’s Hospital will proudly embark on a new era with the opening of the Li Ka Shing Knowledge Institute, comprised of the Keenan Research Centre and the Li Ka Shing International Centre in Healthcare Education. The Knowledge Institute will be a trailblazing facility bringing together leading edge research and new models of education to shape the future of medicine and bring advances in healthcare to patient bedsides faster than ever before.

Institute construction progressing

Construction of the Li Ka Shing Knowledge Institute at St. Michael’s Hospital is well underway. The shoring work for the new building was completed in August, and the concrete forming stage began in June.
