Performance Indicators

St. Michael's Hospital is proud to be one of the first teaching hospitals in the province to report key performance indicators on our website.

A performance indicator is one of many tools that hospitals use to measure how well we do our job. For example, they can help us to know how well we serve our patients and how happy our staff are to be working here.

We support the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care's belief that hospitals should share this information with the public.

Comparing how we are doing with targets from outside the hospital also helps us to learn about our strengths and areas for improvement.

Performance Indicators

Results for several indicators follow this key:

Comparators differ for each set of data. Where possible, we report our performance in relation to national, provincial and/or teaching hospital targets or averages.

About Using Performance Indicators

These performance indicators are not meant to give medical advice or guarantee the Hospital's services. It is always a good idea to talk with your doctor about your treatment and about which hospital may be best for your care.
