Planned Parenthood Toronto is a fully accredited community health centre that provides primary health clinical services to youth 13 to 29 years as well as education, outreach, training and research for Toronto’s diverse communities including youth and women.
Planned Parenthood Toronto’s (PPT) expertise in sexual and reproductive health is the foundation for our services. Our commitment to the community-health model means that we always strive to be responsive to emerging health needs, aware of populations who face barriers to service access, and work with communities and other partners to address those needs.
As a Planned Parenthood we bring a unique focus to community health. The combination of our skills, expertise and values bring different service and programming ideas to the health care sector. Research evidence helps organizations like PPT in the planning and evaluation of programming and services and in ensuring that the best decisions possible are being made to improve the health of our clients.
Our priorities as identified in our current strategic plan (2006-2011) include providing high quality, innovative and client-centred programming that facilitates the individual’s ability and capacity to meet their own sexual and primary health care needs, striving for excellence in all programming areas, and being a leader in developing best practices in the area of community health.
